Munchausen By Proxy

Munchausen is proving to be a very serious form of child abuse that is poorly understood and still quite controversial. Typically taken on by the mother, munchausen victims are typically under the age of 6, but can be anyone in their care including the elderly.

This is such a rare disorder it is difficult to diagnose and determine treatment,. It is very clear that Munchausen is understudied.
